Harvey Weinstein found guilty of one charge in sex crimes retrial
He was acquitted on a separate charge, while the 12-member jury has not yet been able to reach a verdict on a third.

NEW YORK - Former Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, whose prosecution for sexual violence committed against young actors galvanised the #MeToo movement, has been found guilty again in a retrial, although only on one of the charges, German Press Agency (dpa) reported.
A New York jury determined that the 73-year-old committed serious sexual offences against one woman, according to US media.
He was acquitted on a separate charge, while the 12-member jury has not yet been able to reach a verdict on a third.
The New York Times and CNN said the panel would return on Thursday to resume consideration of the final charge.

The prosecution accused Weinstein of sexually assaulting three women between 2006 and 2013, saying he used his power and influence to abuse them.
The prosecution's case was based on the testimonies of Mimi Haleyi, Jessica Mann, and Kaja Sokola, who described meeting Weinstein at a young age with hopes for a film career before he used his authority as leverage for sexual assault.
The disgraced former media mogul denies the allegations and has pleaded not guilty. His defence argued that the women used Weinstein for their own gain.
The verdict was mixed on Wednesday, with reports saying that he was convicted on the sex crimes charge related to Haleyi and acquitted on the same charge related to Sokola. The jury was unable to reach a verdict on a lesser charge connected to Mann. - BERNAMA
